Daylight (Playing For Change)

Have you ever listen to a song till you start hating it?

You simply know that you love a song when you keep on pressing the ‘repeat’ button on your player… In my case, I’m addicted to Daylight by Maroon 5. Something about that song doesn’t allow me to let go. Even if I stop listening it, it starts ringing inside my head… That’s the reason why I’m posing this, I can’t help myself.

‘Daylight’ isn’t just a song that was released by Maroon 5, but it’s a project: Daylight Project. On September 18, 2012, the band announced on their website: “We need YOUR help for our next music video. We’re asking YOU to record and share ‘YOUR story’, and that recording may be handpicked to appear in the video for our third single, ‘Daylight’, directed by Jonas Akerlund.”

“As different as we all are, there are common themes that bring us together, inspire and show everyone what is important today. With this video, we’ll present the world today and beyond, creating more than just a music video” says Adam Levine. The music video was released on December 10, 2012. The accompanying music video sees fans express things they love and hate throughout the clip, after the band asked them to submit entries online.

Another video was released on Jan. 17, 2013 titled Daylight (Playing for Change). It’s simply the best! This video features musicians from all over the world. They have been filmed live in the streets of their town performing “Daylight”.

New Movie Release: jOBS

I found another ‘interesting’ (I wish) movie which is to be released this year. I’m pretty sure you guys have already heard about it. Anyways I did a little bit of digging about it…

jOBS is a upcoming movie—directed by Joshua Michael Stern—which is schedule to be released on April 19, 2013 in US. It’s about the well-known late American businessman, inventor and designer Steve Jobs from 1971 to 2011. IMDb is defined the movie as “the story of Steve Jobs’ ascension from college dropout into one of the most revered creative entrepreneurs of the 20th century”.

The main role is played by Ashton Kutcher (Not sure whether it’s a best choice, but I should admit, their resemblance is quite alike), with Josh Gad who plays the role of Apple Computer’s co-founder Steve Wozniak.

Steve Wozniak has criticized this released clip for being inaccurate in its portrayal of himself and Steve Jobs.

No matter how the movie turn out to be, it will receive both good and bad comments (I assume bad a lot)…

The Glamour of Autumn

Telegraph reader Alistair Homer: “I saw your request for autumn pictures and I thought I’d submit this picture which was taken at Black Pond on Esher Common, Surrey. Just as I was about to press the shutter a stick came whistling over my shoulder and hit the water with a large splash, promptly followed by a black Labrador, completely ruining my photographic moment of autumnal tranquility and I thought, my perfectly mirrored reflection of the beech tree and its spreading boughs. After the dog had left, with stick in mouth and the small waves had had turned to ripples, the scene presented a very different reflection. The autumnal colours of the beech leaves, to me, look like flames.”

New James Bond Theme: Skyfall

Skyfall by Adele is the new theme of the the 23rd James Bond movie. If you still haven’t listen to it then you should! It has this moody tune which is really nice! It is the theme of the new James Bond movie.

Skyfall was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, and features a 77-piece orchestra. According to it’s producer Paul Epworth, it is “dark and moody”. Epworth said they worked hard to give it, “the James Bond feeling”. He added: “I think you will need to see the film and see where the song happens in the context of the film…. and it will all make sense.” (source)

The song was number one within 10 hours of being released (at 00:07 BST), overtaking last week’s official UK number one Gangnam Style, that crazy guy’s song.
